Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

Well, CYT (Christian Youth Theater) put on another awesome production ~ Narnia! We went last night to see the play ~ My niece, Rachel, was a Robin.. and it was so good. I wasn't familiar with the story (C.S. Lewis), but it was enchanting.... I am glad that Rachel earned the part of "Robin" because she had this big, tall feather and red shirt (bird's breast) as part of her costume.. this made it easy for us to spot her on stage ~ Just look for the tall feathers! It was wonderful... Nephew Ryan and Uncle Bob worked hard 'behind the scene' as stage hands.. and Aunt Ann was in charge of the 'Green Room" which she said was like "herding cats"... Her role was similar to working the ready-bench at a swim meet (i.e. making sure the little kiddos were where they needed to be, when they needed to be there!) Tons of Fun!!!

More Photos from William's Birthday - the Big One!

No, really it was the big "1"! Here they are! Pics from the Colorado Birthday are forthcoming, as Pappa Brian went to Europe today and took the camera without downloading... Thus, look for an update in 2 weeks!

Mamma Mia has finally started a BLOG!!

I have been inspired by several new friends, also new Moms, to create a Blog. (shout out to Candice and Amy). For so long, I haven't had time to start or even figure it out. But now ... I still don't have time, but oh well! :-)
I finally figured out how to operate my new camera, so I'm on a roll! I am ready for my next challenge. Plus, it will be a great way to keep in touch with friends and relatives, near and far, and let them see William and how much he changes day to day!

William just celebrated his first birthday. We actually had 2 parties, one here in Kingwood with the Storey Family and then another in Colorado with the Dunns. William's party was great fun... until it came time for cake! William lunged at his birthday cake and grabbed the candle ~ burning his lil' finger... and he wailed and wailed. Aunt Ann and I managed to soothe him and spoon feed him some chocolate cake. Oh the trauma! I felt so bad! I shouldn't have put a candle on the cake! Oh, well.
Stay posted.... as I tread water through this Blog thing! More to come!

My Nephew Trace is a College Freshman - In the Aggie Corp of Cadets

... We are so proud of him. He has been so excited this summer to start college and the Corp. He loved fish camp! My sister, Ann, said he is adjusting to college life just great! He even had a date to the first Yell Practice. Gig Em! (this is kinda scary.. the Aggies keep multiplying in my family.. we need some more Longhorns. I am feeling out-numbered!) Here are some picks from the Corp marching before the first Aggie football game... and then a picture of Trace with Ann & Bob!
